Maryland and District of Columbia
Join the Maryland and District of Columbia sector of the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce. This is a virtual sector designed to enhance entrepreneurship and overall commerce production within the state of Maryland and District of Columbia. There are training, workshops, seminars and networking events held throughout the state focusing on growing the member's network and contacts. Such programs and events are designed to increase bottom line profit and facilitate lead exchanges.
According to the US Dept. of Commerce: Bureau of Census, there were 112,547 small employers in 2006 in the state of Maryland. These employers accounted for 97.7% of state's employers and 53.4% of private sector employment.
According to the US Dept. of Commerce: Bureau of Census, there were 15,896 small employers in 2006 in the District of Columbia. These employers accounted for 93.1% of district's employers and 48.2% of private sector employment.
